Arrival in Cairo & Transfer to Wadi El Natrun

Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, you'll be warmly welcomed by our representative before traveling to the peaceful desert oasis of Wadi El Natrun. Once one of the most important centers of early Christianity, this sacred valley is home to some of the world's oldest monasteries. Check in at your guest house, enjoy dinner, and relax as you prepare to begin your unforgettable pilgrimage through the Holy Family's journey in Egypt.

Day 2
Wadi El Natrun Monasteries & Lake of Heaven

Start your day with breakfast before attending Holy Mass (subject to church schedule). Explore the famous Monastery of St. Bishoy and the historic Syrian Monastery, two of the oldest surviving Christian monasteries in the world. After lunch, visit the miraculous Lake of Heaven (Red Spring), believed in Christian tradition to have provided fresh water for the Holy Family. Enjoy the peaceful surroundings before returning for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3
Sakha, Samannoud, Tel Basta & Belbeis

After breakfast, journey through several important Holy Family pilgrimage sites across the Nile Delta. Visit Sakha, where the footprint of the Child Jesus is preserved, followed by Samannoud, home to the Blessed Virgin's granite kneading bowl and sacred well. Continue to Tel Basta, where idols reportedly collapsed upon the Holy Family's arrival, then visit Belbeis and the historic Virgin Mary's Tree. Arrive in Cairo for overnight accommodation.

The Holy Family in Cairo & Nile Dinner Cruise

Discover the most important Holy Family sites in Cairo, including the Virgin Mary's Tree in Matariya, the Church of the Virgin in Mostorod, the famous Church of the Virgin's Apparition in Zeitoun, and the historic Church of the Virgin Mary in Maadi, where the Holy Family embarked on their journey south along the Nile. In the evening, enjoy a memorable Nile Dinner Cruise featuring an open buffet, traditional folklore performances, Tanoura show, and live entertainment.

Jabal Al-Tair Monastery & Doronka

Travel south to Minya to visit the spectacular Monastery of the Virgin Mary at Jabal Al-Tair, one of Egypt's most significant Holy Family destinations, dramatically built into the mountainside. Continue to Assiut and the peaceful Monastery of Doronka, where the Holy Family is believed to have stayed before beginning their return journey to the Holy Land. Overnight at the monastery guest house.

Day 6
Doronka & Al Muharraq Monastery

Attend Holy Mass (if available) before exploring the sacred cave church at Doronka. Continue to the famous Al Muharraq Monastery, known as the "Second Bethlehem," where the Holy Family remained for over six months. Visit the ancient church built above the cave where they lived before returning to Cairo for your final nights in the capital.

Pyramids, Grand Egyptian Museum & Old Cairo
